No Body Opposed The Candidature For PM

BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu has said all wanted to see Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of the nation.

 

Speaking to the media here on Monday along with party leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Dr Laxman and Indrasena Reddy, Venkaiah said Modi was capable of uniting all sections of people in the country. Stating that nobody opposed the candidature of Modi for Prime Minister’s post, Venkaiah said Gujarat was the only State that achieved 10 percent growth rate in the last 10 years. He said the BJP should get absolute majority in the ensuring Lok Sabha elections so that it could take bold decisions to take the country forward and ensure prosperity and development. He exuded confidence that the BJP would bag 300 Lok Sabha seats and return to power at the Centre.

He wants to be Gujarat CM till 2017!

Widely seen as the BJP’s  Prime Ministerial candidate, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi declared on Thursday that he wants to “serve” Gujarat until 2017.

Re-elected the chief minister in 2012 for five years, Modi, 62, told a group of school students on Teacher’s Day in response to a question in Gandhi Nagar: “I will serve my people till 2017.”

He said in life “one should always dream of doing something”. Modi was made this year the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha campaign chief, further fuelling speculation that he is in the race for the Prime Minister’s post.
